Olga Pasiecznik was born in the Ukraine. She studied piano and music teaching in her home town of Rivneand completed her vocal studies at the Kiev Conservatory. During her post-graduate studies in the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsawin 1992 she made her debut on the stage of the Warsaw Chamber Opera and four years later on the stage of the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Parisas Pamina, which also launched her international career.

Pasiecznik has performed more than 40 roles in operas by Monteverdi, Gluck, Haendel, Mozart, Weber, Bizet, Rossini, Verdi, Puccini, Debussy, Tchaikovsky, as well as contemporary composers. These roles brought her the acclaim of both audiences and critics. She also performs chamber works and recitals with her sister, pianist Natalia Pasiecznik and sacred vocal and symphonic works in nearly all countries in Europe and also in the United States, Canada, Japanand Australia. She achieved success singing in famous concert halls and on many prestigious opera stages such as Opéra Bastille, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Théâtre du Châtelet, Salle Pleyel (Paris), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Palais des Beaux-Arts, Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie (Brussels), Konzerthaus (Berlin), Auditorio Nacional de Música, Teatro Real (Madrid), Bayerische Staatsoper (Munich), Wiener Koncerthaus, Theater an der Wien (Vienna), Lincoln Center (New York), Suntory Hall (Tokyo), The Flemish Opera (Antwerp), the Dutch Opera (Amsterdam), Grand Théâtre de Genève and national operas in Warsaw and Helsinki. She worked together numerous times with the National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia Varsovia, the National Symphony Orchestra of the Polish Radio, the National Symphony Orchestras of Belgium and Luxemburg, the Munich Philharmonic, the Russian National Philharmonic Orchestra, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino (Florence), Orquesta Nacional de España and RTVE (Spain), Das Neue Orchester (Cologne), Concerto Köln, The English Concert, European Union Baroque Orchestra, Academy of Ancient Music, Wiener Symphoniker, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Orchestre National de France, Les Musiciens du Louvre Grenoble, La Grande Écurie et La Chambre du Roy, Orchestre Colonne (France), Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Freiburger Barockorchester, the Orchestra of the 18th Century, with Concerto Vocale, Collegium Vocale Gent and others under the direction of such maestros as Harry Bicket, Ivor Bolton, Frans Brüggen, Jean-Claude Casadesus, Marcus Creed, Paul Mc Creesh, René Jacobs, Roy Goodman, Heinz Holliger, Philippe Herreweghe, Kazimierz Kord, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Jean-Claude Malgoire, Alessandro de Marchi, Marc Minkowski, John Nelson, Peter Neumann, Kazushi Ono, Sakari Oramo, Andrew Parrott, Krzysztof Penderecki, Trevor Pinnock, Marc Soustrot, Andreas Spering, Christoph Spering, Marcello Viotti, Antoni Wit and Massimo Zanetti.

Olga Pasiecznik is a laureate of international vocal competitions in s’Hertogenbosch – the Netherlands(1994 – 2nd prize), the Mirjam Helin competition in Helsinki (1999 – 2nd prize) and the Queen Elisabeth competition in Brussels (2000 – 3rd prize, special prize for sacred vocal music and the audience award). She was honoured in Poland with the Passport of the “Polityka” weekly (1997), Fryderyk awards of the Polish record industry for best solo recordings in 1997 and 2004 (Szymanowski’s Kurpish Songs and Lutosławski’s Chantefleurs et Chantefables), the Orfeusz award at the Warsaw Autumn festival (1999), the Golden Cross of Merit (2001) and the A. Hiolski award (2004) for best female opera role (Mélisande in Debussy’s opera Pelléas et Mélisande in the Grand Theatre – National Opera in Warsaw). In 2005 and 2010 she was nominated by the international “Opernwelt” magazine for the title of Best singer in artistic season for her role of Almirena in Haendel’s Rinaldo and Roxana in Szymanowski King Roger. In 2006 Pasiecznik received an award of the Munich Opernfestspiele, the Cyprian Kamil Norwid award in 2007 and the annual award of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in2011. In 2012 she received the Gold Badge of the Order of Merit of the People’s Republic ofPoland.

She has appeared on more than 50 CDs and DVDs, recorded for such companies as Dabringhaus und Grimm, Harmonia Mundi,Naxosand Opus 111.
